Responsibilities

  • Inspect components to determine if they are compliant with specifications.
  • Document inspection results as required.
  • Submit non-conformance reports for goods failing inspection.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying them.
  • Discuss inspection results with product responsible parties.
  • Record inspection data using established programs and software.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work with small parts.
  • Repetitive hand/arm use.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • 0 to 1 year(s) of experience in mechanical inspection and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow inspection processes and plans.
  • Previous experience with quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Some experience with technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Ability to see details at close range.
  • Work independently with little supervision.
  • Exhibit ethical independence and judgment of the parts and process.
  • Clear communication.

Compensation

The hourly range for this full-time position is $20-$22.
