A fantastic opportunity has become available at your local Bosch workshop, where you will gain hands‑on experience and learn every aspect of the technician role while working as an apprentice. If you're passionate about cars, Bosch will equip you with world‑class training on the latest products and technologies. Experienced trainers will guide you, helping you build your knowledge and develop your skills. Training will be delivered both on the job and at the Bosch Training Centre in Doncaster.
Responsibilities:
- Performing automotive repairs
- Following car checklists
- Learning repair techniques
- Writing estimates
- Inspecting and testing vehicles
- Testing car batteries
- Disassembling vehicles and engines
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will earn the Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 3 qualification.
Training:
Training will be provided on a block‑release basis at the Bosch Training Centre in Denham. This means that your college‑based training will take place away from home, requiring you to stay in a hotel for 17 separate weeks (Monday to Friday) over the course of the 3‑year programme. All associated training costs, including accommodation, are covered by the employer and the programme, so there will be no cost to you, your parents, or guardians. Assessments will be conducted in the workplace by a dedicated training assessor, and you will also be assigned a workplace mentor to offer support during your time in the dealership.
Qualification upon completion: Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Level 3
Requirements:
To be eligible, you must have achieved at least a grade 4 in Maths and English at GCSE level (or equivalent).
Skills required: No specific skills, but an interest in the automotive industry is essential.
