What You'll Do:
- Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering drawings, documents and specifications.
- Assist with engineering calculations, technical sketches, plans and reports.
- Collect, analyse and interpret engineering data to support design development.
- Support the use of digital engineering software and tools including CAD, BIM and Revit.
- Assist engineers and technicians with project design and delivery activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards and environmental requirements.
- Support the implementation of health and safety procedures and site safety requirements.
- Assist in identifying risks and developing solutions to engineering challenges.
- Communicate effectively with project teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and professional behaviours in the workplace.
Training Outcome:
On successful completion of the Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, apprentices are expected to progress into a permanent role as a Civil Engineering Technician within Robert Bird Group, supporting the design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects.
