The Opportunity
We are looking for a Receptionist / Catering Assistant to join our team as the first point of contact to welcome our visitors. Our office hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm Mon-Fri and is based in our London office, convenient to public transport hubs.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is well presented, efficient and proactive. This dual-role position involves welcoming visitors, handling administrative tasks, assisting with catering services and cleanliness of the kitchen area. The ideal candidate will be professional, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to multitask effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties:
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries efficiently.
- Manage emails and correspondence, ensuring prompt responses.
- Schedule and manage meeting room bookings.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception and kitchen area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages for meetings, events, and staff areas.
- Ensure that kitchen and catering areas are clean and well-stocked.
- Help with setting up and clearing down catering events.
- Follow hygiene and food safety regulations.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or catering role (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety (training can be provided).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.
- Friendly, proactive, and well-presented.
