An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our workshop team at a well-established and respected engineering company, based from our depot in Keynsham (BS31 1ST). You would be working alongside experienced individuals across the design, production and site departments to fabricate a wide range of structural steelwork and metalwork items including staircases and balustrades.
Responsibilities:
- Working from engineering drawings to produce parts for small and large scale assemblies.
- Follow weld procedures that align with the company specifications.
- Liaising with multiple departments to ensure the components are manufactured correctly and on time.
- Taking ownership of the projects given to work on.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Steelwork Industry Experience - The ideal candidate will need to have a minimum of 5 years fabrication and welding experience in the structural steelwork and metalwork industry.
- Welding Capabilities - The ideal candidate will have qualifications within the industry but this is not essential. Must have a good understanding of the MIG/MAG welding process. TIG welding experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Attention To Detail – Comprehensive attention to detail is required when fabricating and welding on all projects.
- Communication Skills – Being approachable and clear communication between departments is important to delivering projects and a good working environment. The candidate must be able to work within a team and alone.
- Driving Licence – Preferable but not essential.
