RoBAT Ltd. is a subsidiary of Mycronic, a global technology leader with a market valuation of approximately £3 billion. Based at our headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, we have a talented, multi-disciplined, dynamic team designing and manufacturing high-value robotic machines for testing PCBs (printed circuit boards). This is a role for an experienced software developer who is hands-on. This role offers the opportunity to have a varied workload along with the opportunity for speedy job progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware/Software integration
- Motion control and sequencing
- Computer vision
- Rapid prototyping
You will have a well-developed common sense and creative vision, to be capable of both working in a team and autonomously lead independent development projects. This opportunity fundamentally revolves around controlling the hardware in our backplane test machines such that they carry out the tasks/functions our customers demand, and so it is essential to have an interest in understanding hardware operations.
Please note: Occasional worldwide travel may be necessary due to the majority of our customers being based overseas.
Experience and Qualifications
- To fulfil this practical and 'hands-on' role, you should be qualified to degree level in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with C/C++
- Experience with .NET
- Experience with Python
