Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage services, enhancing guest experiences through exceptional hospitality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in kitchen management, catering, and food preparation, along with a commitment to upholding food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations of the food and beverage department.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation are maintained at all times.
  • Support the management of catering services for events, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Train and supervise staff in food safety practices and hospitality standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction is achieved.
  • Collaborate with bartending staff to ensure a well-stocked bar and quality beverage service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all food service areas.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a catering environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding hospitality.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in bartending is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
