The Role
As Marketing Manager, you will report to the Senior Marketing Lead and take ownership of the creative direction, visual execution, and partnership activation across a portfolio of events and media platforms. This role goes beyond campaign delivery - you will be responsible for ensuring our brands look exceptional across all touchpoints, while also identifying and developing external partnerships that expand reach, credibility, and commercial performance. You will play a central role in shaping how our events are presented to the market, ensuring consistency, creativity, and impact across digital, print, and on-site materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand & Creative Development
- Lead the visual and creative execution of marketing campaigns across all channels.
- Develop high-quality design briefs and work closely with designers (internal or freelance) to produce impactful creative assets.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials including websites, social media graphics, email templates, brochures, banners, signage, show guides, and on-site branding.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms while continuously evolving and elevating the visual identity of each event.
- Maintain and develop brand guidelines to ensure high creative standards are upheld.
- Strategic Partnerships & External Relationships
- Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with industry associations, media owners, influencers, community groups, and commercial partners.
- Create co-marketing campaigns and content collaborations that expand reach and enhance brand credibility.
- Work closely with sponsors and exhibitors to support joint marketing initiatives and maximise promotional impact.
- Represent the brand externally and act as a key marketing contact for strategic partners.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for assigned events to achieve visitor, lead generation, and revenue targets.
- Plan and oversee integrated, multi-channel campaigns across digital, print, social, paid media, and partnerships.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimise activity to maximise ROI and engagement.
- Digital & Performance Marketing
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including SEO, PPC, paid social, organic social, and email marketing.
- Analyse campaign data, audience behaviour, and customer insights to refine targeting and creative output.
- Work closely with data and sales teams to ensure audience growth and engagement strategies are aligned.
- Event Promotion & On-Site Experience
- Oversee the design and production of on-site branding, signage, show guides, and promotional materials.
- Ensure a seamless brand experience from pre-event marketing through to on-site delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and event teams to maintain creative consistency across the visitor journey.
- Market Research & Growth
- Conduct market research to identify trends, partnership opportunities, and new audience segments.
- Use insight-led decision-making to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and brand positioning.
- Budget Management
- Support with managing marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of spend across creative, digital, and partnership activity.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally within events, exhibitions, media, or B2B sectors.
- Strong eye for design and brand - confident managing creative processes and reviewing visual output.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Proven experience building and managing external partnerships and co-marketing initiatives.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, analytics, and performance optimisation.
- Experience using CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred).
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with a proactive, relationship-driven approach.
