Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated tour coordinator to join a busy live booking agency. The key focus of the role will be to work alongside one of our agents to support their busy electronic roster.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about and has deep knowledge about electronic music and motivated to work in the industry, who is able to work to a high degree of professionalism. Previous assistant experience within the music industry is preferred and ideally with the electronic space.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with agents, management and labels on touring periods, financial and logistic requirements
- Negotiate routing and arranging dates with promoters and venues
- Providing promoters with avails with the ability to navigate and understand exclusivities and logistics
- Inputting show details into the central booking system
- Producing deal memos and contracts for shows booked and chasing signed contracts from promoters
- Generating invoices for shows, keeping account of all money in for shows including chasing deposits/payments when needed
- Liaising between promoters and artist management to ensure they are taxed appropriately
- Compiling and arranging tour announcements, ticket links and approving promotional artwork
- Approving artwork and line ups using existing industry knowledge
- Collecting ticket figures from promoters and updating management
- Organising Certificates of Sponsorships and Visas for international artists
- Coordinating tour support submissions and promoter interest
- Keep client information up to date including release schedules, management, label and account info
- Supporting where needed to present DJ offers to management
- Proactively resolving enquiries and escalating where necessary
- Attending shows and events when required outside of normal office hours
- Developing relationships with managers, artists and promoters
- Supporting agent on relevant ad-hoc tasks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum two years agency experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the live music industry especially dance and electronic world
- Experience using booking systems; Overture experience is a strong advantage
- Be highly professional at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise efficiently
- Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proficient IT skills
- The ability to manage heavy email traffic
