We're recruiting for a Pig Stockperson (Experienced or with Agricultural experience) to join a modern indoor pig unit in Berwickshire. Our client operates a 1,200-sow indoor multiplication unit, producing gilts for the company's supply chain. The site is currently undergoing refurbishment and will feature the latest automated feeding systems, handheld data recording, and modern livestock technology. This business is a leading pig producer, working alongside 350+ partner farmers to supply high-welfare, premium-quality pork products to the market.

Daily pig husbandry duties:

  • Feeding and bedding up
  • Cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Moving and handling pigs safely
  • Monitoring animal health and welfare
  • Ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, health, and safety at all times

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working with pigs (preferred) or in Agriculture
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to record and maintain accurate data/KPI records
  • A willingness to carry out physical/manual farm work
  • A strong commitment to high animal welfare standards
  • A full UK driving licence

Package:

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 DOE

Plus:

  • On-site static caravan accommodation may be available
  • Workplace pension
  • Paid holidays

Working Hours:

07:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday, plus every other weekend.
