We're recruiting for a Pig Finishing Stockperson to support a high-performing pig farm in North Yorkshire, YO7. Our client is a successful 700-sow breeder-finisher unit seeking an experienced, dependable individual to join their team. The role is to work with growers and finishers on slats, and to support other areas of pig husbandry (particularly farrowing) as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent welfare, feeding, and health monitoring
- General unit duties: vaccination, record-keeping, cleaning, and maintenance to keep our productive herd thriving
- Support other areas of pig husbandry as and when required
- Work collaboratively in a supportive environment with plenty of variety
About You:
- Experience with finishing pigs
- Training can be provided
- Practical pig husbandry skills
- Reliable, proactive, and animal-focused with a can-do attitude
- Full UK driving licence; own transport helpful but not essential
