We're recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for an indoor unit in Yorkshire, YO26. Our client is looking to employ, ideally, an all-round pig stockperson to work on the weaner, grower, and finisher side of the business. The farm is second-generation, with a 750-sow indoor unit from breeding to finishing. This is a modern pig farm with efficient systems that deliver excellent productivity.
Duties to include:
- To cover the weaner, grower, finisher section, but with skills to assist with breeding
- Teleporter and tractor skills welcome, but training can be provided
- Checking of pigs to ensure high welfare standards
- Feeding
- Pressure washing
- Scrapping through
- Work well within a team
Salary Guide: £30,000 - £40,000 p/a (incl. OT) DOE
