We're recruiting for a experienced Pig Stockperson in Lincolnshire, LN8.
Our client operates a modern indoor pig breeding-to-wean unit. The producer runs a 1,500-sow breeding unit that takes pigs through to approximately 7kg and operates from modern, well-maintained buildings with up-to-date machinery and equipment.
High standards of animal welfare are central to our operation, and we are a Red Tractor-accredited producer.
The Role:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a farrowing house, although you will be expected to support the wider team across all areas of the unit when required.
You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of pig welfare, health and husbandry while working as part of a committed and supportive team.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and who takes pride in their work, with a genuine interest in working with pigs. Full training and ongoing development.
Key Requirements:
- Previous pig farming experience is essential
- Experience within a farrowing house would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of animal welfare
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop
- Reliable and hardworking
Salary: £35,000 per year DOE
