We're recruiting for an experienced Pig Stockperson for an indoor/outdoor pig enterprise in West Yorkshire, LS22. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong pig husbandry skills who is ready to take on greater responsibility and develop towards a senior position.
The Role:
Working alongside an experienced team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day workings of the 850-sow unit, taking the pigs through to 7-kilo weaners. They use a batch system with dry sows indoors and farrowing outdoors. You will be expected to take ownership of your responsibilities, maintain high standards and help ensure the unit operates efficiently while keeping pig welfare at the heart of everything you do.
Person Specifications:
- Good commercial pig experience and excellent stock skills
