Mechanic/Machinery Operator
We are recruiting for a Mechanic/Machinery Operator for a progressive forage harvester refurbishment and silage contracting operation. The successful applicant will be able to work to the highest standards in repairing, refurbishing, and modifying harvest equipment. Fabrication ability and operating machinery in peak season are essential.
The candidate will work as part of a team and will be able to work long hours when necessary.
Mechanic/Fabricator Maintenance Operative
We are recruiting a new Mechanic/Fabricator Maintenance Operative for a progressive family arable & pig farm in Devon. They will repair and maintain machinery and equipment in a well-equipped workshop.
Fabrication skills and the ability to operate the plant as necessary are essential. Working as part of a team, duties include maintaining and modifying high-tech pig units and AD plant. Ideally, candidates will be able to undertake construction projects.
Candidates must demonstrate reliability, honesty and the ability to work within a team.
Both positions are full-time with long-term potential and good pay and conditions.
Qualifications are unnecessary, although a manufacturer trained for position \’1\’ would be advantageous.
Salary Guide is £30,000 – £35,000 + DOE
Paid hourly – position \’1\’ can involve extra hours and weekend work during harvest season.
Accommodation: 2-bed housing or mobile homes are available.
For the roles, the farmer would be open to self-employed individuals & extra hours available in both cases.
