Description

We are recruiting an entry-level Pig Stockperson for a farm in North Yorkshire YO7.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a 750-sow indoor breeding unit producing 7kg weaners within a family-run mixed farming business.

The ideal candidate will need to work as part of a small team emphasising dry sows.

We\’re looking for someone with a passion for pig farming. Ideally, you\’ll have 1+ years of experience in the industry, but we also welcome applications from those with less experience who are eager to learn and grow in this field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with dry sows
  • Feeding
  • Mucking out
  • Vaccinating
  • Assisting in other areas when needed
  • Accurate record-keeping
  • Welfare of stock
  • Working alternate weekends
  • Experience with tractors, trailers, telehandlers, etc., is preferred but not essential.
