We are recruiting an experienced outdoor Assistant Pig Manager for a farm in Oxfordshire, OX13. Our client is an outdoor pig farming enterprise operating multiple sites producing 8kg weaners on a batch system to a high welfare standard. The assistant manager will support the manager on a day-to-day basis with all activities related to an outdoor unit, expanding up to 1200 sows and utilising a three-week batch farrowing-to-weaning system.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent all-round experience in all aspects of pig husbandry
- Team player and leadership abilities to work closely with other members of the team
- Attention to detail is required to ensure the efficient running of the farm
- High welfare standards at all times
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOE
