Assistant Pig Manager in Oxfordshire

We are recruiting an experienced outdoor Assistant Pig Manager for a farm in Oxfordshire, OX13.

Our client is an outdoor pig farming enterprise operating multiple sites producing 8kg weaners on a batch system to a high welfare standard.

The assistant manager will support the manager on a day-to-day basis with all activities related to an outdoor unit, expanding up to 1200 sows and utilising a three-week batch farrowing-to-weaning system.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Excellent all-round experience in all aspects of pig husbandry
• Team player and leadership abilities to work closely with other members of the team
• Attention to detail is required to ensure the efficient running of the farm
• High welfare standards at all times

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 DOE

Hours:

Monday – Friday (07:30 – 17:00), plus one in three weekend rota.
