We are recruiting for a Finishing Pig Farm Manager in Hampshire, SP6. This unit was recently acquired and is now part of a family‑run business with the vision and resources to invest significantly in its facilities and employees. They offer a comprehensive career development pathway for applicants seeking growth and advancement opportunities. The pig unit is a 6500‑place finishing site, from 18 kilos to finishing weight. We are specifically looking for someone who can run the day‑to‑day management of the unit.

Main Duties

  • Manage all full‑time staff on the unit.
  • Responsible for the condition of livestock on the unit – feeding, moving, serving, treating, vaccinating and handling the pigs.
  • Ensure that animal welfare is in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment/farm machinery is used safely and remains in good condition at all times.
  • Have overall site responsibility.
  • Manage and complete weekly paperwork and keep records up to date at all times.
  • Work with your team to meet designated performance targets, managing the performance of staff and pig production to bring about the best results.

Candidate Specifications

  • Experience with finishing and pig unit management.
  • The ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must.
  • You must be a self‑starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Driving licence.
