As a Solicitor within our Legal Services Team, specialising in EV, you will play a key role within our corporate legal department. Working closely with the Director of Legal Services, you will provide expert legal advice, manage cases, draft and negotiate legal documents, and undertake research and analysis. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the legal function and delivering high-quality support to internal teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload with appropriate supervision (where required).
- Provide clear, practical advice on legal issues and commercial risks, ensuring pragmatic solutions.
- Conduct legal research, prepare documentation, and attend meetings and court hearings (as applicable).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV legislation / law, case law, and wider market developments.
- Support business development activities, including attending networking events and preparing legal updates or publications.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external legal professionals, ensuring strong communication across the team.
- Contribute to departmental and company objectives by identifying long-term goals and planning for potential risks.
- Mentor junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and encouraging professional development.
- Support the team in building client relationships and implementing effective, timely practices.
- Uphold company quality standards, including file management and compliance reviews.
- Meet monthly and annual time recording, recoverability, and financial KPI targets in line with business and departmental plans.
- Accurately record all time and case activity using the company’s case management system.
About You
- A minimum of 3 years PQE, qualified in Scotland and/or England & Wales.
- Strong background in EV law / legislation, with experience in property projects.
- Commercial awareness and proven track record in business development.
- Experience in corporate law, litigation, property legislation, and intellectual property is advantageous.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with adaptability to meet changing business needs.
- Strong client-focused approach, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating initiative, drive, and flexibility.
- Committed to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice.
- Willingness to travel and contribute at a national level.
- Enthusiastic about compliance and continuous professional development.
- CPQ or SQE qualification (if applicable).
