Through our fully funded HGV Skills Bootcamp, eligible applicants will receive the training, qualifications and employment support needed to become job-ready, followed by a guaranteed interview for a suitable live vacancy.

You don't need to already hold an HGV licence or have previous HGV driving experience. What we are looking for is a genuine commitment to completing the programme and progressing into employment as an HGV driver.

Who can apply?

This opportunity is funded through the Skills Bootcamps programme, which means eligibility criteria apply. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who:

  • Are aged 19 or over
  • Live in an eligible Leicester or Leicestershire area
  • Have the legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Meet the relevant Skills Bootcamp funding requirements
  • Are committed to completing the required training
  • Want to progress into employment within the HGV and logistics sector
  • Are prepared to attend an interview for a suitable live vacancy following training

You may be unemployed, employed or self-employed. Different funding requirements may apply depending on your circumstances. Your eligibility will be checked by Road to Logistics before you are formally enrolled onto the programme.

No HGV experience? That's okay. This opportunity is specifically designed to help people develop the skills they need to enter the HGV industry.
