About The Role…
Join our fast-paced Programmes team and be a part of one of the US most dynamic not-for-profit organisations. The Operations Coordinator is a member of the Operations team and supports the Operations Manager in the smooth operations of Road Scholar programmes in the UK and Ireland.
This is a full-time, remote position, located in the UK, working Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 GMT/BST. Some evening and weekend work required. This remote opportunity is part of the United Kingdom team. Road Scholar will provide all necessary equipment. The annual compensation for this position is £33,000, paid in monthly installments.

You will…
- Support the UK Operations Manager on a portfolio of different programme itineraries across product lines and a variety of programme types
- Liaise with the Customer Service team providing timely communication regarding participants’ programme questions and special requests, to find solutions and encourage enrollments
- Work with the programme operations team and to ensure programme materials are completed accurately and on time, all procedures for managing programmes are followed, and complete and accurate information has been submitted
- Arrange and confirm programme details and logistics such as hotel nights, field trips, transfers, meals and additional programme staff
- Daily analysis of enrollments and space allotments on programmes, ensuring optimal use of capacity in keeping with contractual deadlines
- Review, triage and action programme changes when complications occur prior to and during programmes
- Assist in preparing group leaders and on ground staff for upcoming departures
- Work closely with the Programme Operations Manager to ensure the materials and reports are created and distributed on time
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of programme content and destinations
- Attend and work on certain programmes as requested
- Some evening and weekend work required

You Need…
- To be an organised professional with at least 1-2 years administrative or relevant experience
- Educated to degree level preferred
- Pro-active, motivated individual who is results-oriented
- Experience in a fast-paced business environment, highly competent in MS Excel and Word
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on anticipating and resolving issues proactively
- Analytical skills and high attention to detail essential
- Excellent verbal/written communications, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment
- Strong system skills; comfortable in a complex database environment
- Training will be on the job
