RMS is a leading specialist in Road Surface Treatments, known for our innovation, reliability, and strong portfolio of successful projects and long-term clients. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Internal Systems Administrator to join our team at our main depot in High Legh, Knutsford, initially to cover for a Secondment for 6 months but this could become a permanent role with excellent development opportunities.
*About the Role:*
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Internal Systems Administrator looking to secure a long-term position within a forward-thinking and well-established company. You'll be responsible for the development, testing, maintenance, and improvement of both new and existing databases β ensuring efficient data access, reporting accuracy, and system performance across the business.
You'll also support internal systems, collaborate on IT decisions, and play a key role in identifying and resolving complex system issues.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Manage the Fleet Management Database system configuration and operation
- Collaborate with other departments to create reports and analytical insights
- Monitor new technology developments and suggest system upgrades
- Act as the key interface between database systems and end users
- Work with external system suppliers for troubleshooting and admin tasks
- Support internal purchasing and staff absence monitoring systems
- Record and monitor fleet and hired vehicle data during peak seasons
- Carry out ad hoc reporting and analysis projects as required by leadership
- Maintain and update the RFM system
- Manage vehicle camera and tracking systems, reporting any issues
- Produce reports from RFM and maintain the Purchase Request system
- Manage SharePoint file access and permissions
- Support with other general admin duties where needed
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in developing and managing internal databases
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 platforms
- Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and create meaningful reports
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing time-sensitive tasks
- Previous experience in IT system development and administration
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and forward-thinking
- A team player with a proactive attitude
