We are partnering with a high-growth multinational FinTech to hire their first Director of Influencer Marketing – a key leadership role at a crucial stage of the company’s global evolution.

One of the world’s fastest-growing FinTech platforms is redefining how people connect with global financial markets – combining advanced technology with seamless access across over 190 countries and over $100B in monthly trading volume.

Now entering its next phase of global expansion, with a strong presence across the UK, EMEA, and APAC, the company is looking for a visionary leader to shape this function.

Job Summary

We are looking for a strategic, globally minded leader to join as the first Director of Influencer Marketing. In this newly created role, you will define and lead the company’s influencer marketing vision – shaping how we show up across social platforms and within culture.

You will be responsible for evolving our global social media strategy, building a scalable influencer marketing function from the ground up, and delivering content that is both brand-authentic and performance-driven. This role sits at the intersection of brand, community, and commerce – focused on driving engagement, deepening audience connection, and supporting business growth through cultural relevance and creative execution.

Primary Job Duties:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and influencer marketing strategy aligned with brand goals, audience insights, and business priorities.
  • Create platform-specific content strategies informed by audience behavior, platform algorithms, and emerging trends.
  • Align digital efforts with broader marketing, brand, revenue, and community objectives.
  • Stay ahead of platform innovation and cultural shifts to inform long-term planning.

Influencer Program Development

  • Launch and lead the organization’s first influencer marketing program.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with influencers, creators, and cultural partners who reflect the brand’s values and voice.
  • Oversee contracts, negotiations, and compliance in coordination with legal and finance teams.
  • Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) and optimize campaign results.

Content Oversight

  • Develop and lead global influencer marketing strategies across key digital platforms (e.g., TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X).
  • Manage the social content calendar and campaign timelines.
  • Ensure content balances creativity, brand consistency, and strategic messaging.

Performance & Analytics

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators across influencer and social campaigns.
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Use data to guide content decisions, platform prioritization, and budget allocation.

Team Leadership

  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability from the early stages of team development.
  • Hire and grow the team as required, supporting individual development and building a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Set clear goals, provide structure for execution, and deliver consistent, constructive feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing and social media, with proven leadership in cross-functional environments and team development.
  • Expertise in major platforms including TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, with the ability to identify and activate emerging or niche channels as needed.
  • End-to-end experience managing influencer campaigns — from sourcing and contracting to creative direction, performance tracking, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical capability, with fluency in key performance metrics (CPM, CTR, CR, ROI) to assess impact and guide strategy.
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into culturally relevant influencer partnerships that drive business and audience growth.
  • Proven success in developing content and partnership strategies that increase engagement, brand affinity, and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams; committed to coaching, scaling, and driving accountability.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator, with experience working alongside marketing, content, product, partnerships, and legal teams across global markets.
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder manager — able to operate strategically while executing with precision.
