Role overview
The Openreach civils frame and cover operative is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation and reinstatement of Openreach infrastructure, focusing on frames and covers in the public highway. The role supports network build and maintenance, ensuring all works are completed in line with Openreach specifications, industry standards, and local authority requirements.
- Install and replace Openreach frames and covers on the highway and footway to the required standards
- Ensure all work is completed to the required standard and within compliance of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Operate and manage equipment including lorry loaders safely and effectively
- Liaise with site supervisors, planners, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, photographs, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all signing, lighting, and guarding is in line with NRSWA (SA006)
- Support team members and work collaboratively in a two-person gang or larger team

- NPORS N107 lorry loader or equivalent / NPORS excavator license or equivalent
