About the Role
As a Work Placement Officer your role will be key in developing the student journey by sourcing high quality placement experiences which complement learning and contribute to a central platform of information to support work experience opportunities across the Group. You will work closely with curriculum colleagues to devise a schedule of placements and work with Business Development to build employer links. This role will work with students directly and indirectly, through a managed centralised platform that students can access for information and guidance on work placements, along with information relating to placements/opportunities available.
You will have experience of working within an educational environment and/or with young people, ideally within a Further Education/Post 16 environment. You will be responsible as part of a team of Work Placement Officers in building and contributing to a centralised database of employers, which provides information to learners on placements. You will be able to review placement providers in regard to providing a healthy and safe environment.
You will have qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent. You will have good knowledge of the Health & Safety Act and HSE Standards. You will also be able to demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to work with respect and confidentiality.

The role of Work Placement Officer will work within a team on site and with colleagues in similar positions across other RNN Group in order to provide a consistent and centralised approach to Work Experience. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and work closely with colleagues in the Student Support teams onsite. You will also liaise with curriculum managers and tutors to devise an appropriate schedule of placements.
