Overview
Dearne Valley College is seeking an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking Lecturer in Criminology, Youth Justice and Public Services to deliver outstanding education and empower learners.
Responsibilities
- Teach diverse, high‑quality lessons across Levels 1 to 5.
- Drive student success up to and including higher education.
- Work across awarding bodies such as NCFE, Skills Education Group (Access) and university HE provision.
- Take ownership of course modules and provide high‑quality internal moderation.
- Champion student recruitment, track progress, and engage with parents and stakeholders.
- Set SMART targets, manage student progress, and bring real‑world criminology and public service concepts to life.
Design & Resource Development
- Design vibrant, creative resources that blend case studies, theory, and digital approaches.
- Track data to guide learner progress towards outstanding achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to implement strategic academic visions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Vocational qualification at Level 5 or above, plus a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award (or willingness to work towards).
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards).
