About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tutor to join our team in our growing Adult Education department at Dearne Valley College. We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individual with Warehousing and FLT specialism. You will design, develop and deliver highly inspirational teaching and training resources whilst being expected to identify individual starting points and give developmental feedback. You will undertake individual reviews, embracing and completing all aspects of the course, including the individual learning plan (ILP) providing SMART targets for learners, which promote learner advancement and success.
You will have experience training both employed and unemployed learners, with the ability to motivate and identify any appropriate support for problems or issues that prevent learners from achieving. Being an experienced RTITB Accredited instructor, you will be delivering counterbalance and Reach Truck courses on-site.
You will:
- Have industry experience as well as delivery on Warehousing & FLT courses.
- Have experience at teaching/training both employed and unemployed learners, being able to give them an enriching experience from day one.
- Be RTITB Accredited, hold an Assessors Award, a minimum level 3 teaching qualification and Warehousing certificate.
- Need level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent; an IQA qualification is desirable, but not essential.
Department Info
As a member of the Employer Responsive Team, you will report directly to your Line Manager. You will build good working relationships with other key stakeholders i.e. Curriculum Areas, Work Based Learning Team Leaders, Assessors, coordinators and Additional Support staff, exams and MIS department.
