Hours: Part time (20 hours per week for 37 weeks term time plus 1 training week)
Responsibilities
- Provide in‐class and out‐of‐class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities.
- Support with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy.
- Assist in the planning, preparation and reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff.
- Provide feedback and carry out reviews to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.
- Manage challenging behaviour and help students develop their own coping strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting students in an educational setting with knowledge of SEND, ALS and EHCPs.
- Hold or be working towards Maths and English L2/C grades.
- Willingness to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
In this role you will work closely with members of the Additional Learning Support and Curriculum department teams, report directly to the LSA Manager and liaise closely with tutors to support learners within the classroom environment.
