Community Lecturer - Digital Skills

Temporary until July 2026

12 hours per week

£19.62 to £20.59 per hour + Holiday pay

Rotherham College, Rotherham (may be required to work at other college campuses as/when required)

Rotherham Education Services supply the RNN Group with temporary workers. The RNN Group consists of Rotherham, Dearne Valley and North Notts Colleges.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and professional digital skills tutor who will be responsible for delivering digital literacy at a variety of levels within our community learning and employability provision, in line with funding requirements. The successful candidate will support the coordination of a range of activities throughout the academic year.

You will be committed to providing an excellent customer service to both internal and external clients, whilst producing a high level of accuracy, excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work. Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve its mission to provide digital skills for the future of our students and community, through outstanding teaching and learning. Your work will ultimately lead to increased enrolment numbers, highly accurate data, meeting funding requirements plus positive development of the College reputation.

You will…

  • have experience of teaching IT/Digital Skills to adults preferably within an education environment
  • have experience teaching both employed and unemployed learners
  • hold a teaching qualification or be working towards one
  • be well organised and able to manage your own workload
