Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3 which includes study programmes, adult programmes and apprenticeships within electrical installations, in both a workshop and classroom environment. With an enthusiastic and engaging approach, you will have the ability to motivate students and support them to achieve their potential. The role of lecturer is to equip our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential. The key roles of a Lecturer are to deliver excellent teaching, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and to set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3, including study programmes, adult programmes and apprenticeships within electrical installations.
  • Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning.
  • Monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes for learners.
  • Create a learning environment where practical, theoretical and digital methods engage learners and provide them with the best skills, knowledge and behaviours for the future.
Qualifications
  • Vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or willingness to work towards.
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or willingness to undertake.
  • Effective and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in delivering practical, theoretical and digital teaching methods.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners to reach their potential.
Department and Team

You will work as part of the curriculum team at Rotherham and will closely collaborate with our Curriculum Team Leaders. You will be line managed by the Curriculum Manager. In this role you will also work in collaboration with Technicians, Personal Development Coordinators, Work Placement Officers and other internal departments such as Examinations and Curriculum Administration.
