Your Role

As a Warehouse Operative Forklift Driver, you’ll be responsible for managing your resources effectively to support the core tasks and priorities of the section, colleagues and Section Leaders. This is a busy and varied role, and you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:

  • Unloading and loading vehicles
  • Checking a variety of goods in as they arrive
  • Picking and locating stock
  • Making sure goods are available for distribution
  • Assisting with warehouse audit systems
  • Identifying processes that can be improved upon and recommending changes to Section Leaders
  • Liaising with internal departments as necessary
  • Acquiring AX user knowledge succinct with the requirements of the section

About You

To be considered as the Warehouse Operative Forklift Driver you will need to hold a forklift truck licence. In addition:

  • Previous experience of computerised inventory control and stores
  • Experience of an engineering or marine environment
  • Be proactive and motivated, and educated to NVQ 2 (or equivalent), with strong communication and teamwork skills
