- 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Outstanding pension scheme
- Life assurance
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to join the RNLI and support us in making sure well-tested solutions can be implemented so that our users have confidence that the transformation of our systems will mean positive change.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the Test Management lifecycle, including scheduling, co-ordinating and managing tests across all applications being delivered within the RNLI's Digital Transformation Programme. This could also include operating system patches, security improvements, and hardware upgrades.
- Being responsible for implementing and managing our test processes for code and data through test and production environments.
- Collaborating across applications and data teams, as well as with our product owners and customers, communicating clearly with all stakeholders on both the process and deliverables.
About You
We are looking for a release specialist with confidence in data; you will have the ability to plan ahead and an attention to detail that means you can foresee and avoid issues. Our ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of developing approaches that get the best value from limited resources, and you will have a passion for the value of embedding good practices and standards in test management. You'll enjoy communicating and working with non-technical people on one side and technicians on the other, so that you build confidence that you are a safe pair of hands.
Our new Transformation Test Manager will have:
- Experience in test management, preferably including direct experience or accountability for test
- Experience fulfilling a test manager role within a software implementation project (preferably ERP, HCM, Asset Management)
- Experience of implementing simple test automation
It is also desirable that you have experience in an IT systems operations environment, an understanding of Data infrastructure, including cloud technologies, and experience of iterative solution development approaches, as well as traditional waterfall approaches.
If this sounds like you, and you are looking for the opportunity to use your skills in an environment where you know that what you're doing is making a real difference to the ability of our amazing volunteers to focus on what they do best, apply today!
