The RNLI is a unique organisation, saving lives at sea through volunteers, lifeboats, training, and innovation. From frontline operations to our national fundraising platform, robust and secure IT infrastructure is critical to everything we do.

As an IT Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll act as a senior escalation point for 3rd-line operational support across RNLI's on-premise and cloud infrastructure. You'll take a proactive role in managing, improving, and securing our server and cloud estate, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance.

  • Provide expert 3rd-line support for physical, virtual, and public cloud infrastructure
  • Manage and enhance Windows Server and Hyper-V environments
  • Support and optimise Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and service records
  • Strong experience supporting physical and virtual Windows Server environments (Hyper-V)
  • Extensive practical experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365
  • Working knowledge of SQL, SANs, and infrastructure monitoring tools

Competitive salary of £42,479 to £49,976 (dependent on experience)
