An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Maritime Standards Team. We are looking for a Maritime Standards Manager who can support our crew, lifeboat stations and regional teams, ensuring that our lifeboats are safe to operate and operated safely. Some of the benefits - Salary of £42,479 to £49,976 (dependent on experience) - Flexible working - 26 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays - Outstanding pension scheme - Life assurance - Health and dental cashplan Your role As a Maritime Standards Manager, you will be focused on the following areas: - Provide coaching, mentoring and behavioural change in afloat and ashore activity - Providing practical maritime and SAR SME support where appropriate, to local management and lifesaving units - Supporting and occasionally leading operational standards and support visits About you As a Maritime Standards Manager, you will be passionate, motivational and have a positive outlook when leading people in your work. You will want to be part of a work environment that offers a variety of different challenges, and you will be someone who can work both on their own and as part of a team to produce positive outcomes. To be considered as the Maritime Standards Manager, you will have: - RYA YM Offshore commercially endorsed with small boat command experience - IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification Applicants should have a flexible approach, with the ability to work under their own initiative and manage their own workload, including being prepared to travel extensively, work some evenings and stay away from home when operational need requires it.
