Our client is a fast-growing UK food business with a portfolio of high-quality own-brand products, supplying the foodservice, wholesale and retail sectors across the UK.

Their expanding range spans ambient and frozen food categories, produced under the company's own brands by trusted manufacturing partners across Europe.

With an established European supply network, nationwide UK distribution and ambitious growth plans, the business is continuing to invest in strengthening its supply chain function.

The Role

This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for managing the end-to-end supply chain, from supplier relationship management and international logistics through to UK imports, inventory planning and customer fulfilment.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence how the business operates, improve processes and help shape the future of the supply chain as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers across Europe.
  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring products move efficiently from suppliers through to UK customers.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and finance teams, together with external logistics partners, to ensure the smooth movement of international shipments, customs clearance and customer deliveries.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, cold storage facilities and transport partners, ensuring high service levels and cost-effective operations.
  • Support demand planning and sales forecasting to ensure stock availability aligns with customer demand.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolving supply chain issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with UK import regulations, customs requirements and relevant food industry standards.
  • Analyse operational KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement and implement more efficient supply chain processes.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving efficiency and building resilient international supply chains.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within the Food & Beverage, food import or other FMCG sectors, with responsibility for supply chain coordination and supplier management.
  • Experience managing international logistics, imports and freight forwarding.
  • A good understanding of UK import procedures, customs documentation and Incoterms.
  • Experience with inventory planning, demand planning or supply planning.
  • Experience managing third‑party logistics providers and warehouse operations (3PL).
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience using ERP systems together with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Other Requirements

  • An understanding of BRCGS, SALSA or other food safety and quality management standards would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of another European language would be advantageous.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Salary & Benefits

  • £45,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience).
  • Performance‑related bonus.
  • 28 days' holiday including bank holidays.
  • Statutory pension.
