The Role
- As a Pastry Baker, your role will focus on the daily production of viennoiserie (croissants, danishes, pain au chocolat); proofing and baking; decorative finishing using glazing, piping, icing, and other techniques.
- Your key responsibilities will include:
- Proofing doughs to a right standard
- Baking and finishing pastries with consistency and attention to detail
- Working closely with the production team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation
- Preparing for the next day's production
- Following standardised recipes and quality procedures
- Reporting any equipment or production issues to management
About You:
- Previous experience as a Baker in a bakery, French patisserie, sweet pastry shop.
- Skilled in croissant pastry / viennoiserie preparation
- Confident in dough handling, shaping, proofing, and baking techniques
- Experienced in decorating baked goods using cream, icing, and glazes
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
- Great organisational skills and at multitasking
- Able to maintain high hygiene standards and follow precise recipes
Food Hygiene Certification is an advantage but not essential. Basic spoken English and the right to work in the UK are required.
