About the Role

This National Account Executive position plays a key role in supporting the commercial growth of major UK retail accounts. Working within a collaborative commercial team, you will help nurture long‑term client relationships, deliver daily service excellence, and contribute to joint business plans across a diverse produce portfolio including fruit, vegetables, ingredients and herbs. An excellent opportunity for someone with FMCG or food‑supply‑chain experience who's ready to step up in a fast‑paced and data‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and nurturing of strong long‑term customer relationships.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to maintain service delivery, quality, availability and operational performance.
  • Act as a daily point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all enquiries are resolved promptly.
  • Understand account objectives and deliver value‑added, customer‑centric solutions.
  • Analyse and interpret big data, tracking key performance indicators to support joint business plans.
  • Support continuous improvement of accurate account forecasting.
  • Review and report on listings, distribution and overall account performance.
  • Conduct regular store visits and competitor benchmarking to maintain deep sector knowledge.
  • Maintain excellent commercial administration and follow company processes.
  • Contribute proactively to the commercial teams strategy and wider business objectives.
  • Project manage value‑engineering initiatives to support margin improvement.

Key Requirements

  • QCF 5–6 education level and minimum 2 years relevant UK agriculture or food‑supply‑chain experience within sales, category, procurement or technical.
  • Proven FMCG experience.
  • Strong digital and IT competencies suited to a modern data‑driven environment.
  • High competency in big‑data analytics and the ability to extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation abilities.
  • Flexible, resilient and adaptable mindset.
  • Able to work on own initiative, with high self‑discipline and motivation.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
