Due to business growth in the UK, the company is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Import & Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across borders and through the supply chain. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in food import/export, ideally within meat or frozen food products, looking to grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
- Coordinate across logistics, sales, import, and finance teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Manage order entry and documentation through SAP.
- Book and manage cold storage and transport slots with approved carriers.
- Negotiate transport rates and monitor delivery performance.
- Ensure timely and compliant customs clearance of inbound refrigerated containers and trucks from the EU and non-EU countries into the UK.
- Process and verify invoices from logistics service providers.
- Handle documentary control and maintain an organised archive (e.g. CHED-P, T1, C88).
- Support with stock control, reconciliations, and import planning.
- Liaise with customs brokers and stakeholders across the UK and EU supply chain.
- Monitor and update AgriM certificates balance and related documentation.
- Assist the Head of Supply Chain and Logistics Team Leader with ad hoc tasks and reporting.
Requirements:
- Solid experience in import/export logistics, ideally in meat or other foods.
- Background in international and domestic logistics operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); SAP knowledge is a big plus.
- Strong communicator, proactive, and used to working in multicultural, fast-paced teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience in cold chain logistics is highly desirable.
