RMT is seeking to recruit an experienced journalist with industrial experience:

  • To ensure the delivery of a comprehensive press and media service to the Union.
  • To develop and implement strategies to present and promote the Union’s policies to both the press and other external audiences, quickly and effectively.
  • To work with the wider communications department to utilise the Union’s web and social media platforms to promote the Union’s message.
  • To respond to and rebut unfair criticism of the Union, its policies or its members.
  • To contribute to the production of campaign materials.
