RMT is seeking to recruit an experienced journalist with industrial experience:
- To ensure the delivery of a comprehensive press and media service to the Union.
- To develop and implement strategies to present and promote the Union’s policies to both the press and other external audiences, quickly and effectively.
- To work with the wider communications department to utilise the Union’s web and social media platforms to promote the Union’s message.
- To respond to and rebut unfair criticism of the Union, its policies or its members.
- To contribute to the production of campaign materials.
