We are seeking a capable and motivated GIS Team Lead to guide a dynamic team of GIS professionals with a strong focus on GIS development and automation. This role demands a balanced combination of strategic leadership, project coordination, and hands-on technical delivery. You will play a key role in driving innovation, enhancing spatial data workflows, and ensuring high-quality outputs across diverse projects, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of GIS analysts and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Manage end-to-end GIS project development workflows, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and client requirements.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals, scope, and expectations, while providing expert geospatial guidance.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of spatial data, and oversee the development, optimisation, and maintenance of GIS tools and automated workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving team queries and technical challenges to ensure smooth and uninterrupted project execution.
- Maintain and regularly update ISO and project documentation to ensure full compliance with internal and external standards.
- Continuously monitor team output and efficiency, providing constructive feedback, support, and guidance to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Solid expertise in GIS software, including ArcGIS and QGIS, with a strong foundation in spatial data management and analysis.
- Proven experience in driving automation within GIS workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, ideally within a technical or geospatial team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong hands-on experience in geospatial analysis, data interpretation, and the creation of clear, actionable visualisations.
Bonus Skills
