Our Client, Scottish Power, is working on a large project with the aim to modernize their network through the implementation of Low Carbon Technologies. Here at RMSI, we are responsible for the processing of these network upgrades on the client’s network on systems such as ESRI and SAP. The LCT Quality Assurance team member will be responsible for safeguarding the client’s network by ensuring data integrity practices and checks are being executed as per specification.

Location: Glasgow – Hybrid working available. The successful candidate will be required to be based in Glasgow.

Objectives and responsibilities of this role:

  • Understand the client’s network and what practices are used to capture it on their GIS and data management systems.
  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.
  • Document quality assurance activities and results.
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure companywide compliance.
  • Pursue continuing education in new solutions, technologies, and skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a GIS related field or experience in working with GIS or similar software is desirable.
  • Experience of working with data from asset management systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods and tools.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to provide feedback and escalate issues.
  • Ability to work towards deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team.
