Join Our Team as a Level 3 Vehicle Technician!

  • Salary: £22.00 per hour (£48,048 per annum) | Permanent Role | Average 42 hrs/week | Mon–Fri, Working hours between 7.30am-4.30pm

    • RMS Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a client in the automotive industry, renowned for excellence in vehicle storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch, and transportation. We’re now looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated workshop team, helping us maintain exceptional service standards.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    Working under the direction of the Workshop Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to manufacturer standards
  • Performing routine servicing on a variety of vehicle models, including light commercial vehicles
  • Stripping down, checking, and replacing faulty parts and assemblies
  • Testing, reassembling, and adjusting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Keeping workshop tools and equipment clean, organised, and well-maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Participating in training and skill-enhancement workshops
  • Supporting other workshop duties as required

    • Please note: This is a hands-on role in an outdoor automotive compound. You’ll be working in all weather conditions with PPE provided, and walking moderate distances throughout the day while moving vehicles.

    What We’re Looking For:

  • L3 Qualification (or equivalent) in light vehicle maintenance and repair – essentiaL
  • Over 22 years old, with a full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points, no DR10s) – required for insurance purposes
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices, and willingness to comply with procedures
