- Position: Vehicle Polisher
- Type: Temp to Perm
- Working Hours: 37.5hours per week. Monday-Friday. 2x shift rotation 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
- Salary: £17.75 per hour. Overtime and Unsociable hours at an increased rate.
About the role?
Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Workshop Shift Manager, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently carrying out any necessary polish and vehicle finishing techniques to ensure vehicles are in pristine condition prior to dispatch.
Key responsibilities of the Role:
- To prepare and carryout any necessary polish techniques.
- To ensure that all vehicles are completing using appropriate SMART Techniques
- To ensure all materials are used within the manufacture’s instruction and minimal usage for effective repair.
- To remove and replace / fit protector moulding, transfer and decals if required.
- To apply finishing materials, water and solvency-based materials.
- To carry out buffering and burnishing on parts and panels.
- To inspect finished vehicles to ensure there is no damage.
- To Keep the workshop area clean and organised.
- To ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
- To adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- To keep up to date with the latest repair techniques and technologies.
- To undertake any other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function
About you?
- To be successful, you must be over 22 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
- To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in SMART Vehicle Polishing.
- The ideal candidate will be required to pass a skills test where they will be tested on Smart Polishing techniques.
- The ideal candidate will have basic understanding of health and safety and cooperate with managers to comply with Health & Safety regulations.
