Exciting Opportunity! We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipefitter/Welder to join our client’s experienced team based in Sheffield.

Job Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday40 hours per week – Overtime available
Salary: £18 per hour (Overtime after 40 hours – £27 per hour, Sunday £36 per hour)

You will be working on ½” – 2 ½” Carbon and Stainless-Steel pipe and gas with 16 Bar pressure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, a commitment to safety, and experience working on commercial or industrial gas systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Assemble and install piping systems for gas, water, and steam applications.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
  • Perform welding operations (TIG, MIG, Stick) to join pipe and structural components.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct pressure testing and leak detection on completed systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, work performed, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineers, plumbers, and project managers on site.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing systems as needed.

About You

  • ASME IX coding (TIG and MMA)
  • Commercial Gas Safety Certification
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter/Welder, preferably in gas and plumbing environments
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to gas and plumbing work.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
