RMS is working in partnership with an automotive client and is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their dedicated compound operation. Our client is highly regarded for delivering end-to-end vehicle services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing leadership team and play a key role in maintaining and developing an exceptional service.
Job Details:
- Location: Killingholme (DN40 3DZ)
- Salary: £13.93 per hour
- Type: Permanent, Annualised hours contract
- Working Hours: You will work 2,184 hours per year, equating to an average of 42 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday: Hours scheduled between 6:00am and 8:00pm
- Weekend Working: This is a 7-day operation, and weekend cover is required on a rota basis (1 in every 8 weekends). Weekend attendance is only required when work is available. You will be notified in advance whether you are required to work or will be stood down.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Compound Manager and Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth and efficient running of the site. This includes providing leadership, guidance, training and ongoing support to operational staff.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- To lead and support all Multi Skilled Operatives (MSOs) in ensuring vehicles are properly located and all movements align with company procedures.
- To guide and assist MSOs in conducting thorough checks to ensure all vehicles meet the company's quality standards.
- To ensure MSOs adhere to health and safety standards throughout the site.
- To serve as the primary point of contact and first line of support for your team, especially in the absence of the Supervisor and Manager.
- To direct, support, and motivate the team to enhance performance.
- To assist with operational requirements as defined by the shift supervisor, including evaluating workflows and optimizing staff utilisation to maximise efficiency.
About you:
To be successful, you must be over 22 years old, possess a valid driver's license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes. To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above. The ideal candidate will be confident in their driving and have experience with automatic and manual vehicles. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Team Leader. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and working experience within Automotive/Logistics/Distribution operations.
