RMS Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Administrator to join our client’s fast-paced logistics team in Middlesbrough.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a leading specialist in the logistics industry, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
This is a fixed term contract. Initially while training, you will be working 7AM – 3PM then go onto shift rotations of 7AM-3PM and 9AM-5PM. Salary is £14.18 per hour.
About the Role
As an Administrator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the logistics operations through a variety of administrative tasks.
Your ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems on the spot, and thrive under pressure will be essential in this dynamic environment.
- Taking calls from clients and contractors and managing their requirements.
- Using in house systems to update records including Oracle to update client details and manage accounts.
- Using Excel Spreadsheets.
- Confident on the phone.
- Assisting the team with any queries.
- Manage reception and visitors including Health and Safety.
About You
- This is an office-based role based in Middlesbrough. Due to the location of the office, we are looking for candidates who can drive and have their own transport.
- Ability to work off own initiative but seek supervision when needed.
- Proactive in offering support to team members, including managers / coordinators
- Ability to organise and manage own time to complete tasks within time scales and to a very high standard. Readily lets managers know where they have capacity.
- Be responsible for a range of regular tasks and to be able to undertake these without prompting.
- Ability to follow instructions readily and adapt to new administration tasks as when these arise.
- Ability to gel with an established team quickly.
- Approachable, friendly and polite manner.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Sound numeracy skills and confident in handling financial data in range of format.
- Excellent administration skills with a range of software applications including word, outlook, database, excel, remote working methods such as Teams/Zoom.
- Able to record information accurately and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
