RMS Recruitment are looking for experienced and motivated Vehicle Damage Estimator to join our clients workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with a strong automotive background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Killingholme (DN40 3DZ)
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shift
Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
As a Vehicle Damage Estimator, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, identifying all damage, and producing detailed repair estimates. You will work closely with our workshop and management teams to ensure repairs are accurately assessed and completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the extent of vehicle damage, including structural, body, mechanical and interior damage.
- Produce accurate repair estimates and calculate repair costs.
- Record damage required parts and estimated repair times using Audatex.
- Ensure repair methods comply with customer requirements and manufacturer standards.
- Liaise effectively with workshop teams and management throughout the repair process.
- Develop an understanding of all departments within the business and provide support where required.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
About You:
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Damage Estimator or in a similar automotive estimating role.
- Knowledge of vehicle painting techniques and repair processes.
- Experience carrying out vehicle inspections and producing accurate repair estimates.
- Audatex experience is preferred, although training can be provided for candidates with the right experience and attitude.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within an automotive environment.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points and no DR convictions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
