Position: QA Specialist
Working Hours: Monday-Friday – 2x shift rotation 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
Salary: £19.02 per hour (Overtime and Unsociable hours at an Increased rate)
Working under the Workshop Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring that all body repairs, paintwork, and mechanical work meet the highest industry standards and customer expectations. The role involves inspecting completed jobs, identifying defects or inconsistencies, and ensuring adherence to company procedures and health & safety regulations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the workshop's reputation for high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect post-repair vehicles for paint finish, panel alignment, and mechanical work quality.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure repairs meet OEM and quality standards.
- Document inspection results and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with technicians to address quality issues before vehicle delivery.
- Perform final inspections to meet customer satisfaction and handle quality-related queries.
- Identify and assist in implementing process improvements to reduce rework and warranty claims.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
- Verify repairs meet manufacturer, insurance, and warranty requirements to avoid non-compliance.
- To be successful, you must be over 22 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within an automotive bodyshop, accident repair centre, or related industry.
- Reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and a team player.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
